At Mad Hatter Auto Repair, we believe in keeping our community safe -- both on the road and beyond. This October, we're proud to once again join the Brakes for Breasts campaign! Best of all, your service helps support an incredible cause in the fight against breast cancer.

About Brakes for Breasts

Brakes for Breasts is a national program that unites independent auto repair shops during the month of October. Participating shops (like Mad Hatter) provide free brake pads to customers during this months. You pay only for the labor and any additional parts that may be necessary. At the end of the month, we will donate 10% of every brake service ticket to the Cleveland Clinic Breast Cancer Vaccine Research Fund.

How Your Brake Service Helps

ALL (100%) of the funds raised go directly to research, with no administrative overhead taken out. The research fund supports the work of Dr. Vincent Tuohy and his team, who are developing a breast cancer vaccine -- moving science beyond treatment and into prevention. Learn more about this exciting research here: https://brakesforbreasts.com.

This year, our parts vendor, Auto Value, has donated all the brake pads, so Mad Hatter Auto Repair won't incur that cost. That means we can fully support this cause while ensuring you still get high-quality brake service!

Why Brake Service Should be Part of Regular Maintenance

  1. Safety Above All: Your brakes are among the most critical safety systems on your vehicle. Worn or damaged brakes pads, rotors, or brake fluid can lead to longer stopping distances, brake fade, or even failure in emergency stops. Regular inspections and maintenance help prevent dangerous situations on the road.
  2. Prevent More Costly Repairs: If you wait too long, worn brake pads can damage rotors or calipers. What might have been an inexpensive pad replacement can escalate into a full rotor replacement or caliper repair. By servicing brakes early, you avoid more expensive fixes down the road.
  3. Improved Performance & Efficiency: A braking system in good shape helps your car respond reliably and reduces uneven wear. In some cases, dragging or misaligned brakes can increase fuel usage slightly (because the car works harder). Well-maintained brakes help your vehicle run smoothly.
  4. Peace of Mind & Extended Vehicle Life: Having confidence in your brakes allws worry-free driving. Regular brake service also contributes to the overall longevity and health of your vehicle.
