Our very own Mike Kraus was honored last week at the 9th Annual 9/11 Luncheon of Honor! 🎖

When Mike isn’t managing the demands of our growing automotive repair shops, he dedicates his heart and time to giving back. In the past year, Mike has devoted 600+ volunteer hours to leading Javelan (Jack Assisting Veterans Enjoy Life Again).

Founded in 2017, JAVELAN funds and trains service dogs to support veterans and first responders living with PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, and other physical or emotional challenges. Since Mike joined the board in 2020 and was elected director the following year, the program has expanded its mission by merging with the First Responders Foundation, increased donations and awareness across Nebraska and Iowa, and helped train over 130 service dog-handler teams (far beyond the original goal of 6 per year!) 🐾🐶

Mike’s commitment is fueled by a belief that our nation’s heroes deserve to find healing and improved quality of life by pairing them with loyal canine partners who can provide both medical assistance and emotional support.
We couldn’t be prouder of Mike — for his leadership in our shops, his dedication to his community, and for embodying what it means to be a true humanitarian. 💙
